About the authors
Mann’s Best Friend is a graphic novel by sisters Scarlett & Sophie Rickard. Sophie makes up the stories and Scarlett draws the pictures. This has been going on since they were children, when Scarlett’s constant phrase was “Tell me what to draw!”
The sisters grew up in the Ribble Valley in Lancashire, and the culture and landscape of the north-west feature prominently in Mann’s Best Friend.
Scarlett is an illustrator and graphic artist (http://www.ScarlettRickard.co.uk) living in Kent. Sophie is a student living in Cheshire. They are both collie owners. Despite living hundreds of miles apart they work closely on every stage of their projects — and have a lot of fun doing it.
